Daughter of Japanese scientist Kenji Oyama, known as Lord Dark Wind, a crime boss responsible for the creation of the process of implementing the fictional metal Adamantium in Wolverine s bones, the supervillain Yuriko Oyama, better known as Lady Deathstrike, was responsible for the death of her progenitor, but posthumously she embraced his ideals, eliminating anyone that dishonored him. That took her to the X-Men hero Logan, who defeated her. She then became member of the mercenary team of cyborgs named Reavers, conducted by Pierce, with whom she managed to defeat the X-Men, but she always preferred to work alone. Besides the skeleton and claws of Adamantium, Yuriko has agility, strength, speed and superhuman reflexes, a cybernetic healing factor to repair her body and the ability to connect her conscience with external computer systems. With her martial abilities in the Kenjutsu art and others from the samurai warriors, she is among one of the most dangerous enemies for the X-Men.
